The Tree Top Challenge is currently in a Development Approval process to explore the possibility of bringing an exciting new High Ropes Adventure Park to the Eprapah Scout property at Victoria Point. The site is home to the Scout Environmental Education and Community Centre and surrounds Eprapah Creek, covering 39 hectares of environmentally protected habitat that is home to many species of fauna and flora.

At the TreeTop Challenge we are very excited to open an Adventure Park for the greater Brisbane community allowing us to fullfil our mission of providing an unforgettable adventure and in our unique and amazing bushland. We would love it if you could sign our short petition in support of our Development Approval.

The forest at Eprapah contains predominantly dense bushland containing rainforest, wetlands and marine habitats, with a freshwater creek and ponds, and a dry Sclerophyl forest, all accessed by trails and boardwalks. It’s extremely diverse and varied habitats support a wide range of vegetation, birdlife, koalas and other wildlife and TreeTop Challenge is highly passionate about preserving and showcasing this pristine area.

The benefits our Adventure Park in the Scout’s property are far reaching for the community and not only benefit the long term protection of the environment. Outdoor, school and environment education, employment, along with tourism are just a few of the spin off benefits to the community.

To ensure that there is minimal impact on the environment, we have contracted BAAM Ecological Consultants to survey the site and provide a detailed report of the bushland to assist in the design, construction and operational phases of the operation.

We employ a “Tread Lightly” approach that ensures any impact of the “construction phase” of the course has been considered with an anticipated re-vegetation phase to far outweigh any plant or tree damage. The impact of the “operation phase” means that the upper canopy of trees are used in conjunction with suspended walkways, so that there is very minimal impact on lower vegetation and orchids.
