After Free Exciting Things to do on the Gold Coast These School Holidays?
Are you after free things to do on the Gold Coast during the school holidays? Below is a short list of nature-based attractions, adventures and activities the team at TreeTop Challenge like to get up to!
- The Beach: The beaches on the Gold Coast provide a great free fun day out, and are renowned for their beauty and great adrenalin-boosting waves. If you want to avoid the crowds, our picks are the Spit or Tugan.
- Bushwalking: The mountains on the Gold Coast are vast, beautiful and offer the perfect setting for adventures. There is an abundance of tracks to suit all fitness levels and timeframes. For a full-on, epic day we challenge ourselves with a section of the great walk that stretches between Binna Burra and O'Reilly's. Our other picks are the many walks on Mt Tamborine and the Green Pool Circuit at O'Reilly's.
- The Natural Arch: The natural arch is located outside Nerang and is an amazing geological feature. Cave Creek turns into a waterfall landing in a massive cave. To get to the cave it's only a short circuit walk which hugs the creek and offers plenty of lookouts. Night time is particularly exciting because the cave is lit up by a massive colony of glow worms.
If you are after something different that offers fitness, thrills and excitement, you can’t go past taking the TreeTop Challenge, located just under an hour’s drive from the Gold Coast. For an entry price as low as $39 (this covers all the adrenalin-boosting attractions and the gear you’ll need to experience them) you’ll enjoy half a day of excitement which will challenge you to your limits as you swing about in the Trees.
