Weight Requirement
You must weigh over 40kg and under 120kg. If you do not meet this requirement, your booking will be cancelled or moved to our adventure park without refund or credit

Get ready to experience the sensation of pure flight! Located at Thunderbird Park on Tamborine Mountain, the Canyon Flyer is Australia’s most thrilling guided zipline tour. This is your chance to soar like an eagle over Cedar Creek Canyon at speeds of up to 70km/h, with nothing but ancient rainforest (some of the oldest in Australia!) beneath your feet.
Your adventure begins at the TreeTop Challenge building, where you’ll meet your two funny and highly experienced guides. These legends will be with you every step of the way, handling all the technical safety clips so you can focus on one thing: screaming with joy as you fly!
What to Expect
Over the course of this 3-hour guided experience, you will tackle eight (yes, 8!) massive ziplines.
The Warm-Up: We start with a full safety induction (no experience necessary!) and a few shorter zips and suspension bridges to get you comfortable in the harness.
The Main Event: Once you're ready, we launch across the canyon! You'll experience incredible heights and massive speeds, taking in breathtaking views of the Gold Coast Hinterland that you simply can't see from the ground.
Small Groups: Tours are intimate, with a maximum of 9 guests, ensuring a personal and unforgettable adventure.
All Thrills, No "Work"
Unlike our TreeTop Challenge Adventure Park, the Canyon Flyer has no tough or technical obstacles to muscle through.
No Climbing Required: There are no ladders to climb or wobbly wires to balance on—just seemingly endless ziplines all the way.
Accessible for All: This design makes the Canyon Flyer perfect for all fitness levels. If you want the adrenaline rush without the physical workout of a high ropes course, this is the tour for you.

How does a Canyon Flyer session work?
Check-In: Arrive 15-30 minutes early. Validate your booking and waiver at the front desk. You can stow any belongings in a locker/cubby while you climb.
Directions: Our team will direct you to restrooms and where to go next for your adventure.
Gear Up: Our team fits your harness, helmet, and safety gear.
Safety Induction: Your guide will run through a safety brief with you and instruct you on aerodynamics and braking.
The Adventure: You load into our van and head to the launch zone and spend the next 2-3 hours immersed in the rainforest ziplining from tree to tree. Our guides will take care of all your safety equipment!
Finish: Return your gear and collect any belongings left behind!

- Shorts or leggings suitable for wearing a harness
- Phone to capture memories - this can be put in a pouch that is attached to the harness

Thunderbird Park offers Australia's first mini excavator park - Dig-it, thunder-egg fossicking, laser skirmishes and putt-putt golf, as well as a fully-licensed restaurant. Lunch, snacks and drinks are available.
Play and stay - Thunderbird Park incorporates the award-winning Tamborine Mountain Glades, and has a beautiful caravan and camping site with powered and unpowered sites on the banks of Cedar Creek.
